Team Paddleball will have a major impact on participation and the growth of paddleball.

We are already seeing players register who normally do not enter tournaments. That tells us this format is reaching players in a different way.

The biggest advantage is simple: No Partner Needed. Players can register individually without having to find a Men’s, Women’s or Mixed Doubles partner. Removing that obstacle creates more opportunities to participate.

Another major benefit is that Team Paddleball brings players of different skill levels together as teammates instead of separating them by seedings, as we normally see in tournaments. Stronger and developing players will compete together, support one another and contribute toward a common team goal.

Team Paddleball also creates new teammates and new relationships. Players will compete alongside people they may not normally partner with, building friendships, chemistry and stronger connections throughout the paddleball community.

Especially important is the strategy element of Team Paddleball. Players will communicate, discuss matchups, support teammates and decide which player matchups help the team to advance. Every match matters because each player’s performance contributes to the success of the entire team.
